The UK Government has introduced a requirement for voters to show photo ID when voting at a polling station at some elections. This new requirement will apply for the first time in England at the local elections on Thursday 4 May 2023.<\/p>\n

You’ll have to show an official form of photo identification (ID) when you arrive at a polling station to vote. The ID does not need to be in date, if the picture on the ID is still a likeness to you then it will be accepted.<\/p>\n

The following photographic ID will be accepted:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Passport<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u2022 Driving license (including provisional license)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u2022 Blue badge<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u2022 Certain concessionary travel cards<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
